The bed is constructed with 4\u201d channel long sills and 3\u201d channel cross sills with 11-gauge treadplate decking. This provides rigidity and strength while keeping total body weight relatively modest. The smooth 10-gauge headboard includes a sight window behind the cab. By maximizing the body width, actual bed space is a full 100 inches and allows 2 portable toilets to be carried side-by-side. Vertical bed rails are fabricated from strong 1×3-inch tubing and welded to the bed frame. Both upper and lower horizontal rails are made from E-track, allowing unlimited adjustability in placing cargo straps. A Tommy Gate G2 liftgate was installed. It provides 1600 lbs. of lift and an 87×41-inch platform for easy loading. To complete the build, a compliment of Buyer\u2019s Products underbody tool boxes was added along the curbside of the bed along with a receiver hitch in back.<\/p>\n
